The everyday horse owner are the people I encounter most in the horse world. The statement I hear most is, ‘I Just Want to Enjoy My Horse’. This is what most horse owners want, just to simply enjoy their horse. And in most cases, they don’t know how or where to begin.
Where do we begin? As in the word of an old Horseman, You Begin in the front. The next question should be, ‘Where is the beginning’? The answer is, Begin learning about horses, learning about your horse in particular. This can be accomplished or began by studying the many horsemen across the world and in your local area. Purchase study material on horses, not on a discipline. Learn to build the foundation with your horse. Anything built has to have a good foundation, even horsemanship.
In My opinion, you would be way ahead of the game if you got with a horseman in your area, one that can teach you the basics of Horsemanship; How to Read your horse; How to communicate with your horse; How to Listen to your Horse; and How to interpret your horses Body Language.
Learning about your horse begins with your desire to do so. It isn’t easy but then again it is. It’s not rocket science, it’s way more than that. You are working with something that has a brain. You have to understand that brain.
When you enroll in my school of Horsemanship (which is a one-on-one) you will begin by learning the body language, How to interpret each movement of your horse.
You see, to first understand horses we must have the desire to do so. We must have the perseverance, consistency and determination to really want to. I say it this way because I want you to understand, it will take some time and effort.
I, all too often, see people that get a horse without knowing a whole lot and get in trouble, they begin lessons and find out how much effort and time that’s involved and begin to slack off. Only, if they would continue they would find out in a short time the effort and time was well worth it.
I have a saying, “Time is going to pass anyway, why not make some use of it”?.
If you are an everyday horse owner and would like to learn how to begin enjoying your horse; and more importantly, your horse enjoying you, get with a teacher or an instructor to begin. Or, you may also contact me. We will get you to a place where the horse will teach you.
Do it for your horse…
